vm was born in Rome in 1977. After a degree in Italian Literature at Università degli Studi di Firenze, he trained at the Accademia Nazionale d'arte Drammatica "Silvio d'Amico", Italy’s most prestigious drama school. In 2009, vm completed his training as a director with a production of his own play, "" [Lights in the mist]. He was subsequently awarded the Premio SIAE (2010) for Best New Italian Playwright at the 53° Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto. Since then vm is an acting and playwriting teacher at Rome's Università Link Campus and has gone on to win numerous awards as both a playwright and director. His plays include:“" (2009, nominated for the 50° Premio Riccione, honourable mention from the jury); "" (2010, winner of the ); "L'ultima cena" [The last supper] (2011, nominated for the Premio Hystrio). His radical adaptation of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar,  (2012) was Italy’s selection for the Festival, part of the London 2012 Olympic Games Cultural Olympiad; "La Classe" [The Classroom] (2017) play written for Società Per Attori-Franco Clavari, directerd by Giuseppe Marini. vm's plays are published by "Editoria&Spettacolo" and "Titivillus". As director, recent work includes: “Inverno" [Winter] (2014) by Jon Fosse, a co-production between ATCL and the Florian Teatro Stabile di Innovazione di Pescara; "Odissea" [Odissey] (2015) Khora Teatro production; "Cani" [Dogs] (2017), 2° Premio Borrello, Premio CassinoOFF 2014), a 369gradi production in collaboration with Armunia and Kilowatt Festival; "Six Passionate Women" for the Croatian National Theatre, city of Rijeka (2017/18).
